Legislative Philosophy :


The principles that I take from the Constitution are:

  1. Limited Federal Government.
  2. Fiscal responsibility, Lower taxes.
  3. Sound money.
  4. Individual Responsibility.
  5. Economic and personal liberty.
  6. American independence and national sovereignty.

Congress should:

  1. Obey our Constitution.
  2. Audit the Federal Reserve.
  3. Cut federal spending.
  4. Balance the Budget.
  5. Raise the personal exemption to $15,000.00.
  6. Repeal the bailouts.
  7. Avoid nation building.
  8. Pay off the national debt.
  9. Promote sound money.
  10. Stop the inflation tax.
  11. Respect individual responsibility.
  12. Promote economic and personal liberty.
  13. Promote a level playing field for all Americans (not create winners and losers).
  14. Protect national sovereignty and American independence.
  15. Promote American energy, produced by American workers on American soil.
  16. Protect the taxpayer.
  17. Reform Social Security.
  18. Vote principle, not party.
  19. Promote the judicious use of troops.
  20. Cut foreign aid.
  21. End corporate welfare and subsidies.
  22. Pass the "Read the Bill Act."
  23. Pass the "Enumerated Powers Act."
  24. Pass the "One Subject at a Time Act."
  25. Repeal congressional retirements.
  26. Pass term limits.
  27. Recognize, by law, that life begins at conception.
  28. Respect our Christian and Constitutional heritage.

Congress should not:

  1. Pick winners and losers.
  2. Get paid when there is a budget deficit.
  3. Let regulatory agencies write laws. (That is a violation of Article I, Section 1.)

I will:

  1. Serve without pay, healthcare benefits, or retirement benefits for two terms.
  2. Vote to give all Americans a full tax deduction for any healthcare related insurance and a full tax credit for any cash payments for healthcare.
  3. Vote to give all unemployed persons a tax holiday for 2010 for any job or jobs they may find.
  4. Vote to raise the personal exemption to $15,000.00 per person.
  5. Vote to balance the budget.
  6. Vote to fix Social Security by making it revenue specific.
  7. Vote to cut government waste and unconstitutional programs, with half of the savings going to tax relief and half to pay of the Federal debt.
  8. Promote clean, cheap American energy, made by Americans on American soil.
  9. Fund my campaign with small donations from individuals in my district.
  10. Support the efforts of "BRING HOME THE POLITICIANS" and the decentralization of government.

I will not:

  1. Vote for an unbalanced budget.
  2. Vote for a government takeover of healthcare.
  3. Vote to raise taxes.
  4. Support unconstitutional legislation.
  5. Vote for a bill I haven't read.
  6. Support government bailouts of private businesses.
  7. Vote to raise congressional pay.
  8. Vote for taxing or regulating the Internet.
  9. Support amnesty for illegal aliens.
  10. Compromise America's values.
  11. Vote for FOCA.
  12. Accept money from any PACs or special interest groups.

My legislative goals are:

  1. To reduce taxes.
  2. To abolish the IRS.
  3. To stop the "inflation tax."
  4. To stop unconstitutional spending.
  5. To balance the budget and pay off the national debt by cutting spending, not by raising taxes.
  6. To oppose trade deals and groups that threaten American Independence.
  7. To protect our privacy and stop the national ID card.
  8. To protect all of our constitutional rights.
  9. To secure our borders.
  10. To establish a more effective foreign policy.
  11. To stop policing the world and nation building.
  12. To increase health care options and reduce the cost through private industry and competition.
  13. To oppose all earmarks and pork barrel spending.
  14. To promote a more limited federal government.
  15. To be guided by the explicit rule of law.
  16. To follow the Constitution as written, I am a Constitutionalist.
  17. To promote personal and economic liberty.
  18. To promote individual responsibility.
  19. To eliminate congressional pensions.
  20. To restore and protect the rights of parents with regard to their childrens's education and health.

Furthermore I will:

  1. Oppose any unbalanced budget.
  2. oppose any congressional pay raise.
  3. Pay for my own travel and Junkets.
  4. Oppose any increase in the power of the executive branch or the size of the federal government.
  5. Oppose government regulation or taxing of the Internet.
  6. Oppose the government take over of our healthcare system.
  7. Not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
  8. Seek to be the taxpayers' best friend in Congress.
  9. Avoid nation building and policing the world.
  10. Review troop levels annually in all 130 countries where they currently serve.
  11. Promote sound money.
  12. Work to make our imports safe.
  13. Work to bring our jobs back home.
  14. Support H.R. 1359: Enumerated Powers Act.

10th Amendment Platform Pledge:

As a candidate I have signed a written pledge promising to uphold the values and positions
on which I am campaigning. I believe that all elected representatives must be held accountable for the promises
